Kingston Robertson | From Prison to Purpose
Welcome to Tales of Outrageous Hope, where we bring you raw, real stories of transformation—and the fierce determination that fuels the human spirit. My name is Anita Rodriguez Cordero.
Today’s guest is a man who walked a path most never have to imagine—and who emerged with a mission to change lives.
As a teenager, he arrived in Madison, Wisconsin with his father—only to find himself alone when his father was incarcerated. With no safety net, no mentor, and no one to notice he was raising himself; he did what he could to survive. Selling drugs was a way to eat—until he was arrested and sentenced to seven years in federal prison.
But this is not a story of defeat. This is a story of fierce clarity, of mentors who showed up behind bars, of relentless studying behind locked doors, and of a young man who used every day inside to plan his life on the outside.
Today, he works the night shift as a truck driver and spends his days building Holy Godz, a rising streetwear brand rooted in faith and purpose. He meets with teens who are walking the same razor-thin edge he once did—and helps them see a future built on skill, self-worth, and something greater.
This is his story. A story of vision, hustle, and hope. Let’s listen.
